Wot So Funee : What's been said this week?

Wot So Funee? is the brain child of Actually Mummy. It goes back to when her children were much younger and came out with frequent "funnies", which made for great entertainment on her blog. But then children grow up and become more self conscious of what they are saying and the "funnies" become a little less frequent. So she has entrusted the fabulous linky to  Emma, Nikki and myself.

I have to admit that I feel like I am taking care of something extremely precious with this linky but I also admit to laughing on a daily basis at some of the comments my ever chatty 2 year old comes out with. The 9 year old often throws in some quips but it is the toddler who currently holds the entertainment throne. So with a little trepidation, here is this weeks Wot So Funee?.......

As a parent there are lots of things I find myself saying, some that sound extremely similar to my mother and some that I swore I would never say. Here are some of the things that have been said on the Lilypad this week;

Stop singing or I will turn the music off!

I will start counting to three .... one, two, three

I will put you on the naughty step if you carry on.

Less talking, more eating!

I am talking to you.

Unfortunately, I have said none of these things. They have ALL been said by the 2 year old.

I have clearly said all of these things at one point (or maybe more than once) but to hear them come out of her mouth might have exasperated me but amused me nonetheless.

Although despite all of the things she has said this week, my absolute favourite has to be:

"Mummy, she is winding me up"

I think I have my work cut out with this one!

So have your little ones made you laugh this week? Fancy linking up with Wot So Funee?

Rules are simple:

  1. Write a post about your children’s funny antics this week
  2. Include a link to the Wot So Funee? post or page so that your readers can have a laugh at everyone else
  3. Come back here and link your post to that week’s Wot So Funee? write-up
  4. Feel free to steal the code for my badge and display it in your post or sidebar .... optional of course :-)

Next week Wot So Funee? is back home with Actually Mummy. Don't forget to link up!

  4. Oh she sounds adorable. My Dad came to visit yesterday and my 3yo said "take your shoes off" before she said hello as we have new carpets.

  7. Stop singing or I will turn the music off!..... that coming from a two year old is simply genius. :o).

  8. My kids often throw my own words back at me. It's when they look cross and call me "Young lady" that I just crease up laughing - even if they've been doing something naughty!

  9. I get this so often from the 3 year old. Have to be so careful what I say in front of him. He did make me laugh this morning getting dressed when he whined "Mummy, I simply don't have TIME for all of this today!" Oops

  12. hahaha.. I can also hear myself saying these things. And my children. it's a good job blogging wasn't around when my children were little or they would be looking back and cringing at some of the stories I could have told!

  13. As a fellow two year old keeper that is very familiar! I often get told I am being naughty at the moment!

  14. I love this so funny. My toddler is always repeating back what we say to him or say at one point or another. However slightly wrong and misunderstood half the time. But it really is great entertainment to hear it back isn't it? Or sometimes I think do I really say that enough for him to pick up. Clearly so. lol Thank for hosting #wotsofunee
