  1. Wot So Funee : Are you still drunk?

    Posted on

I often say the little one is milk drunk. Despite being 3 years old, her favourite drink is still millk. She is not a fan of branded drinks and with recent news reports about children's teeth, I am happy for her to keep drinking it and be "milk drunk" with milky happiness.

I however *may* have been a little cocktail drunk this weekend for my final hen night.

    Cocktails

I cannot remember the last time I drank so much and I maintain that I only stuck to one drink ....... it is just unfortunate that that one drink consisted of a cocktail of other drinks! There are varying moments during that evening that could be considered for this Wot So Funee post but this is a family blog, so we will skip past those for now.

Unfortunately, for me, we had a 3 year olds birthday party to go to the following morning and I was struggling to get out of bed. I could hear the little one chatting with her Dad downstairs and him mention that "Mommy was having a little trouble getting out of bed as she was a little drunk last night".

I smiled to myself imagining her thinking I was drinking her milk and becoming milk drunk.

We went off to the farm party and we were all "excited" to get a ride on a bumpy tractor. (note: I was not excited by this prospect) The little one turned round to me and simply said"Mommy, are you coming on the tractor with us or are you still drunk?"

Mortified is not the word but everyone else found it funny.

    Piglets

I shall not even begin to tell you how I felt going through the pig pens!!

Has your little one said anything funny this week?

  2. Wot So Funee : It is all a bit literal!

    Posted on

The host for this weeks Wot So Funee is Stressy Mummy, you can find the linky here >>>

    Wot So Funee?

Things have a tendancy to be a bit literal in our house. Many of the girls teddy bears and dolls have very literal names, such as Panda, Flat Bear, Rainbow Bear and her favourite Pink Dolly (you get the idea), so the other day the little one was asking for "fat dolly" and I was a bit concerned.

To my knowledge, we don't have a "fat dolly", nor would I encourage the girls naming anything as such but she does have two pink dolly's (there *may* have been an occasion where one got lost and we had to get an emergency one!) so I pressed her a little further. She looked at me (like I was crazy) and said "you know mommy, the new pink dolly with the fat hat". It transpires that the new dolly's hat is more "plump" than the old one and as such is now being preferred to as fat dolly!

I am still not entirely sure whether this is funee or not!

But her most humorous moment this week has to be while she was playing at my Mom and Dad's house and she was running around in the garden. She came into the house and her hair looked wild. It was sticky and when I looked closer there was a wasp stuck in her hair. I was horrified and said "where have you been to get a wasp in your hair?"

    Waspland

    Her reply?

    Waspland!

I literally had no reply for that.

  3. Wot So Funee : Lemon & Slime

    Posted on

This week's Wot So Funee Linky is being hosted by the very lovely Stressy Mummy.

    Wot So Funee?

I am beginning to think I need to carry a video camera round with me, so I can capture the funny moments that happen throughout the week as I never feel I ever do them justice when trying to recall them. For some reason, it has been an amusing week this week (despite some bridesmaid troubles and other wedding drama going on) but we have had a couple of very funny times.

I always seem to be laden with bags, whether it is my laptop, handbag, shopping bags, kids school bags, or lunch bags, even my eldest has started copying me and said the other day "Mom, I look like a bag lady" (I clearly use that phrase far too often) but then the little one jumped on the bandwagon and when she was asked to help carry her own bag the other day, her reply was simply "Mommy, I don't have enough hands!".

    That told me didn't it?

Out of said shopping bags came our regular fruit purchases, having recently become obsessed with juicing, we are purchasing fruit like it is going out of fashion but the little one has adopted some very strange habits since we have had more fruit accessible to her. She has a penchant for lemons and will quite happily sit sucking (or licking) a lemon whilst playing (I know, she is strange isn't she?) but when we didn't have any lemons left, I found her mooching in the fridge for something else. I asked what she wanted and she turned round with a triumphant grin on her face, saying "Mommy, it's okay I will have a slime instead". Is it wrong that I didn't correct her?

*Disclaimer: I don't keep slime in the fridge!*

  4. Wot So Funee : When I grow up

    Posted on

A big event happened a couple of weeks ago. The little one turned 3.

    3 balloon

This was a big event in her life. She was a big girl.

Being 3 meant she wasn't a baby anymore.

Being 3 meant she would be 4 next  (who knew).

Being 3 means that she is growing up.

Growing up has featured quite heavily in conversations with her since her birthday but I am not entirely sure she has quite grasped the concept.

Her favourite saying is "Mummy, when I grow up to be my sister, will I .......... " *insert go to her school / swimming lessons / sleep in her bed*

Alternatively we have had "Mummy, when I grow up to be Nanny, where will Grandad be?".

But then just to throw me a curve ball, she will suddenly say "Mummy, when I grow back into a baby, will I have a pushchair?"

I think being 3 is going to provide us some great #funee moments but as far as I am concerned, I don't want her to grow up into anything! Can I freeze time right now?

Have your family created any #funee moments this week? We would love you to share, just add them to the linky below .....

Don't forget that Wot So Funee will be back with Actually Mummy next week as normal! Have a great week x
